Celebrating eye awareness month!
Blue light is everywhere! Sunlight is the main source outdoors it is responsible for boosting attention and alertness, assisting with memory and cognitive function and elevating mood. Indoors, blue light, is emitted from digital devices, including LED televisions, smartphones, tablets, laptops and computers, it is environmentally friendly, but can disrupt sleep and potentially cause disease.
Due to our modern lifestyles we spend more than 12 hours a day with our eyes glued to digital devices such as PC’s, laptops, tablets and smart-phones.
This can result in:
- sleep disorders,
- eye strain,
- blurred vision and/or
- dry eyes!
We only have one pair of eyes and we must do our very best in protecting them today in order to preserve our vision now and for many more years to come.
